Students and schools
Styly for students and schools
Styly generates interior design concepts from a photo. This page explains the free access for students and teachers, what it includes, and how to apply.
- French and English interface — Styly is built for the French market, not translated into it.
- Your school address is enough. No .edu or .ac address required: we verify your institution’s own domain by hand.
- Free credits for your coursework: course projects, presentations, juries and dissertations.
01
Who it is for
Students enrolled on an interior design, spatial design or architecture programme, and the teachers and workshop leaders on those programmes.
Apply using your institution’s email address. Because many schools use their own domain rather than .edu or .ac addresses, we verify each domain by hand. If your address is rejected automatically, write to us and we will add it.
02
What the access includes
We give you credits for your coursework. Each generation uses one credit: send a photo of a room, choose a style, and keep the image you get back. Images come without a watermark.
How many credits you receive is confirmed in writing when your access is opened. We would rather give you a number we can hold to for a whole academic year than publish one here and revise it mid-year.
03
Coursework use only
Student access is for educational work: course projects, presentations, juries, dissertations and school portfolios. It does not cover paid client work.
If you already take paid projects, tell us about your practice — that is a different offer.
04
Personal data and GDPR
The three questions a data protection officer always asks: all our data is hosted in the European Union. The photos you send are not retained once your image has been generated. They are not used to train AI models.
For an institution-wide deployment we provide this in writing and can review a data processing agreement with your DPO. Write to us with what your institution requires.
05
Who is behind Styly
Styly is a startup incubated by L'Escalator, and we exhibited at VivaTech in Paris this year.
If your institution wants to know more before committing to anything, we can come and present to your students or run a workshop.
06
For schools and teachers
If you lead a programme, a workshop or a resource centre, we can open access for a group of students and prepare the documents your institution requires before any deployment.
We can also run a one-off workshop or a supervised exercise, which asks less of you than changing tools mid-year.
